Release Notes

Update Notes:

  1. changed GameObject get collider methods to be overridable
  2. added override of GetRectangleCollider to HUD label to return rect based on position and actual size
  3. changed HudLabel to draw actual size background rect
  4. added actual position property to hud label
    • The above 4 changes correct all known HudLabel issues.
  5. added shared function to sprite to create new instance
  6. began creation of TiledBackground and related objects (under development)
  7. began creation of ResourceFactory and SpriteFactory to facilitate loading sprites from config files (under development)
  8. modified GameEngine events and associated methods to all use GameEngineEventArgs
  9. implemented missing GameResumed event
  10. added MIDI to allowable audio file formats

Potentially Breaking Changes to Existing Code:

  1. Renamed Sprite.SpriteSheet to Sprite.SpriteSheetName which better reflects its value. Existing code will need to be refactored (find and replace will work well).
  2. Removed AssetBank and placed all functionality in AssetManager. Method calls to Scene.Assets may need to be refactored. It no longer matters which object you use to access an asset; there is now only a single AssetManager instance handling all caching.
